These dogs are not pure breeds but a mixed breed.they are first dogs to be domesticated by human.they are easily trainable and were used as guard dog and police dog.
They are medium sized dogs and have short coat,straight ears and a curved tail.the common colours are brown,redish-brown with or without white,black and white etc.they are very common and are available all over india.
They not at all have health concern and requires minimun maintenance.most of these dogs die due to road accidents as they mostly roam around the street and people kills them to control the population.in some parts of India,people kill them for their meat.
